ABOUT ME
I grew up on Cortes Island, surrounded by the magnificent power and unaffected beauty of life on a wild island. The smells, sights, and sounds of ocean, sky, and forest shaped my earliest experiences, and love of my island home has been formative in my work and life. I began working as a professional jeweller when I moved to Victoria, and for many years have sold my unique pieces at local maker markets. I joined the Bastion Square market in 2004, and for the past 16 years have been delighted to share my love of beauty with like-minded artists and artisans, locals and visitors.
Though I live on a bigger island now, I still feel the influence of Cortes, and continue to be inspired by the elements. I incorporate traditional methods with my own techniques to create pieces that reflect both the organic grace of the natural world and the timeless elegance of classic jewellery. I am active in experimentation and exploration, and my work continues to grow and evolve; I am excited by new trends which infuse my designs with fresh inspiration, while always maintaining a distinctive, delicate touch.
